West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee today said Subash Ghising will be the sole administrator of Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council (DGHC) after its term expires on March 26.

Making a statement on the floor of the state Assembly, the Chief Minister said this decision was taken to avoid any confrontation in the hills in view of the situation in neighbouring Nepal.

He said this decision has been taken in consultation with the Centre and yesterday he had spoken to Union Home Minister Shibraj Patil in this regard. (PTI)
