KALIMPONG, Sept. 29. — The hill students, will be getting a mega opportunity to broaden their horizons at the two-day career fair organised by the St Augustine’s School which will start here tomorrow.
Principal of SAS, Fr Lawrence Monteiro, said the fair has been called with a visionary attitude of inculcating the student of today to think positively. Over 45 institutions including those from the other two hill sub-divisions and the neighbouring state of Sikkim are expected to take part in the fair. “About 6,000 students will be attending the fair,” the principal said, stressing upon the fact that students here are restricted in their choice of careers due to lack of proper information and effective counseling.
Distinguished career counselors will assist the students during the fair. The Darjeeling MP, Mr Dawa Narbula, will be the chief guest.
