Kalimpong, Jan. 16: The CBI has called for cooperation from residents here in connection with the C.K. Pradhan murder case, admitting that six months into its investigation, the bureau is yet to unearth any “concrete information”.

A senior CBI official said this while he was in town today to announce a cash award of Rs 1 lakh for information regarding Daya Rai and Nirey Gurung, the prime suspects in the case.

“We were given this case almost three years after the incident and we have not got any concrete information till now,” the officer said. “But the murder happened in broad daylight and people are aware of what happened, but no one is willing to talk. We need their corporation.”

The CBI today put up new posters here with the sketch of Daya. Earlier this week, posters with the sketch of Nirey had been stuck around town.

The CBI said such posters will be put up in different parts of Darjeeling and Siliguri as well.
